Presents for Hanukkah-How to Find the Perfect Presents for Hanukkah

Always a joyous time of light and festivity, Hanukkah in modern times has been enhanced by the relatively new custom of gift-giving…thus began a article in the newsletter from my local Jewish Community Center, throwing me into a panic!! It reminded me that I had been designated the Hanukkah gift-buyer for my family this year, and that Hanukkah was practically upon us, while I hadn’t done a thing about it. Where was I going to quickly find presents for Hanukkah? 

Like most other men I know, I normally dread shopping, and gift-shopping even more. OK, now fast-forward: A week later – it’s already Hanukkah, beautiful candlelight, smiling happy faces aglow with the joy of the presents I had showered on them!!  If you’d like to know my secret of success – my no-hassle solution to finding the perfect presents for Hanukkah, read on.

The secret is no secret at all:  it’s simply the miracle of the Internet come to the aid of Hanukkah gift shoppers.  The world of Judaica, that world of beautiful Jewish objects, both sacred and secular, has entered the 21st century in a big way, and it’s truly a one-stop shopping situation.

When I clicked on a link to one of the Internet “stores” that feature Judaica, and the screen filled with pictures, it was as though I had just come through the doors of a department store. I was totally amazed:  the variety, the beauty (color photos of every single thing on offer), the affordability!
